Hogwarts Professor Application Form
Post this message in the applications forum. You will be notified of your acceptance/rejection soon.
1. What course would you like to teach?
Muggle Studies
2. What are your teaching methods like?
How do you teach your course? Sample lessons, notes, homework, roleplayed lecture, or anything else would be good for you to include. How do you plan to run your course? Will you update it weekly or bi-weekly? How many students do you plan to take per level? Please provide a schedule for your class, for example: (Week 1 - Topic ABC, Week 2 - Topic BCD, etc.)
It should be noted that Professors are not required to do homework, and students are not required to do homework. With lives off of the internet as I'm sure you have, keeping up with homework can be extremely difficult. The main purpose of classes will be for plot building and roleplaying. However, any homework that is ssigned and completed will count for house points (like extra credit).
3. Who are you? (IRL)
Who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself. What are some of your strengths and weaknesses? What is your name? How old are you? Being a teacher at Hogwarts requires immense time and dedication. Can you manage?
4. How can we contact you?
YAHOO: kitty.chii@yahoo.com (active)
MSN: risa-chii17@hotmail.com (inactive)
5. What is your character’s name and history?
Give us a bit of history about your character. Where was he/she raised? What was their early life like? What schooling/work experience have they had? Strive for uniqueness.
6. What does your character look like?
Give us a physical description of your character. The more detail, the better.
7. What are some of your character's strengths? Weaknesses?
Give us some pros and cons to your character. Don’t make them a super-hero – try to balance their strengths and weaknesses out. Everyone’s only human; no one’s perfect.
8. What are your role-playing skills like?
Please write a response to the following role-play, or, choose a topic of your own.
Minette Brown, a girl whose mousey brown looks and hair completely fit her name, stood in the cold dark hallway clutching her books to herself and shivering. It was only 7 o'clock in the evening, not even near lights out yet, and already the castle was as pitch-dark as midnight. She blamed it on the weather. It was horrible. Outside, menacing grey clouds filled the skies, sending down hordes of rain and lightning, all dancing to the tune of booming thunder. Another resounding sound of thunder made Minette jump and tremble even more fiercely. She wasn't known for her courage; just like a mouse they said, ready to jump and squeak at everything. Now look at her, not even possessing the guts to walk down a simple hallway to her house common. Suddenly Minette heard footsteps, footsteps coming down the corridor, towards her! It could be a professor, it was most probably a student...yes, it probably was...but...but what if it was one of the more malicious Hogwarts ghosts? Squeaking in terror, Minette dropped her books in the middle of the hallway and scurried to hide behind a suit of armor by the wall.
