Welcome to the History of Magic Classroom. I am your instructor, Professor Vincent Arion Riguel. In this class, you will learn how to interpret the events of the past, and how to apply them to making decision in the future. This, inherently, will involve not only the study of magick history, but the study of muggle history as well. In order to better understand some of the topics we will discuss, we will be taking several trips throughout Europe on weekends. While these trips are optional, you will find them beneficial.
While I do encourage that you take notes, there will not under any circumstance be required homework. It is not my responsibility to make sure that you learn the material I teach. Exams will count for 100% of your grade. I do this so that you chase knowledge, not grades. If you truely learn something, if you make an effort to know it, then exams will not be a problem. I wish students to attend the lessons, however, I will not require it.
All in all, this is a pretty easy class, and I will be fair. I only ask that when you leave my classroom, you have a better understanding of the current and past world around you, so that you make better decisions in your adult lives. I also understand students have lives outside of Hogwarts and I am willing to work along with that.
Regards, Professor Vincent Arion Riguel
